Test Day Schedule
The following schedule (in local time) will be observed at all Test Centers.

* No later than 8:30 a.m. - Registered candidates report to Test Centers

* 1:30 p.m. - Testing ends (approximately)

In some circumstances, high volume Test Centers have to schedule both morning and afternoon sessions. Your Admission Ticket will state the exact time you need to report to the Test Center if you have been assigned to an afternoon session.

Admission to Testing
To be admitted to the test, you must present your Admission Ticket and positive identification, such as a driver's license or school identification card with a photograph and signature. Photo ID credit cards are not acceptable.

If you report to a center other than the one to which you were assigned, or if you do not take your Admission Ticket with you to the Test Center, you will not be able to take the PCAT. Test Centers will not admit "standby" candidates to take the PCAT.

At 8:30 a.m., registered candidates will be admitted to the testing room. No candidate will be admitted to the testing room after the administration has begun.

Test Center Rules
* Take several sharpened No. 2 pencils (also called HB pencils) with erasers to your Test Center. For accurate scoring of your answer sheet, only no. 2 (or HB) pencils can be used. Mechanical pencils, ink pens, felt-tip pens, or ballpoint pens cannot be used.

* You must take your Admission Ticket to the Test Center.

* You must take positive identification to your Test Center, such as a driver's license, school identification card, or other official ID that includes a photograph and signature. Photo ID credit cards, however, are not acceptable.

* You must arrive at your Test Center on time. Testing will begin promptly. Latecomers (arriving after the test has begun) will not be admitted.

* You may not take calculators (including watch calculators), books, papers, notes, cell phones, cameras, recording devices, or any reference materials into the testing room. You will be allowed to write in your test booklet.

* Neither food nor beverages may be taken into the testing room.

* Visitors are not allowed in the testing room.

* You may not ask questions about the test after the test begins.

* There will be a scheduled rest break approximately halfway through the test. Any candidate who leaves the testing room during the break must first receive permission from the examiner and will be escorted while outside the testing room. Candidates are prohibited from removing any testing materials from the testing room.

* Any candidate who gives or receives assistance during the test will be required to turn in all test materials immediately and leave the room. In such a case, the candidate's Answer Booklet will not be scored, and no fees payments will be refunded to the candidate.

*Harcourt Assessment reserves the right to cancel any test score if an irregularity occurs that results in a nonstandard test administration, such as a disruption, instance of cheating, or compromising of the time limits established for the test. Please see the Candidate Information Booklet for more information.

* It is extremely important that all candidates carefully and completely follow all the Test Center directions and regulations. Listen carefully to all instructions given by the examiner and follow the directions completely.

The No Score Option
During the test, you will be able to request that your test not be scored. Before the test begins, the examiner will explain to you how to request that your test not be scored. Choosing the No Score Option means scores will not be released to you or to any schools you request. If you request that your test not be scored, the request is irrevocable, and the fees you paid will not be refunded. Any later request to score your test and report your scores will not be honored.

Test Center Closings and Delayed Starting Times
Adverse conditions (such as extreme weather or a local power failure) or other circumstances at a Test Center may make it necessary to cancel the administration of a test or to delay the beginning of testing. If you suspect this may be the case, do not call the Test Center to which you are assigned or to determine whether testing has been cancelled or delayed. This information can be provided only by Harcourt Assessment. To reach Harcourt Assessment on a Saturday test date, call Customer Relations at 1-800-622-3231. If you are unable to appear for a test due to hazardous weather or other calamities, you must notify Customer Relations no later than three days after the test date.

Test Center Test Administration
If you have any concerns or questions about the manner in which the Test Center, its examiners, or its proctors administered the exam, please write to Harcourt Assessment. Your correspondence should include a thorough description of any incident and must be received no later than 14 days following the test date. Failure to contact Harcourt Assessment within 14 days of the test may prevent Harcourt Assessment from acting on your concerns before your test scores are released. Please allow three to four weeks from the receipt of your letter for a response.
