Applying Online
You can ensure that your application and payment are received immediately by applying online via the PCAT Application.

Your may apply online between the Standard Application Deadline and the Late Application Deadline; however, this requires a late fee $49.00 in addition to the $150.00  online application fee. Late application is possible only if you apply online.

It's fast and easy to apply online.  Follow these simple steps:

1.  Register with this web site.  Please provide an email address that you check often.  We will be communicating with you via email.

2. Click the  PCAT Application link at the top of any page to begin.

3.  Complete the application and pay with your credit card.  You will be registered for the PCAT immediately, and a seat will be reserved for you at the Test Center you selected.

4.  Check your email for details about accessing your Admission Ticket.

Admission Ticket
Within 48 hours after completing your online application, you will receive an electronic registration confirmation notice with information about your Admission Ticket. This notice will be sent to the email address that you provide when you register with the web site. Then, at least 10 days before your PCAT test date, you will receive another email message with instructions explaining how to access and print your Admission Ticket. If you have any problems accessing your Admission Ticket, call Customer Relations immediately at 1-800-622-3231.

The Admission Ticket that you will print out shows the complete reporting address of the Test Center that you requested, the exact time that you should report to the Test Center, and an assigned ID number.

When you report to the Test Center, you must present your Admission Ticket along with positive identification to gain admittance for testing.

When you print your Admission Ticket, immediately inspect it to make sure it displays the correct test date and Test Center. If either is incorrect, immediately call Customer Relations at 1-800-622-3231.

If you have not been able to access your Admission Ticket by the Monday before your scheduled test date, it is your responsibility to contact Customer Relations at 1-800-622-3231 to obtain the information you need to report to the correct Test Center and be able to take the PCAT on your scheduled test date.

If you do not attend your assigned Test Center on the correct test date or do not have your Admission Ticket, you will not be able to take the test, and the fees you paid will not be refunded.

Candidates will not be allowed to take the PCAT without having registered in advance of the test date.

Tips for Applying
Choose a test date that will ensure that each institution to which you are applying will receive your scores before its application deadline. Score Reports are mailed approximately four to five weeks after each test date.

Apply early. Online Applications must be recieved before midnight Eastern Standard Time on the Late Application Deadline (PCAT Deadlines).  Paper Applications must be received by the appropriate Standard Application Deadline.

Complete all the information required in your application. Only properly completed applications will be accepted.

If you request any special services or accommodations, please include all the required supporting documentation. Refer to Fees & Special Services for details.

Address Changes
Your Admission Ticket and personal Score Report will be sent to you at the mailing address you provide on your application.

If after submitting your application you move to a new address, you must correct your address in order to avoid having your Score Report sent to the wrong address. You may correct your address by calling Customer Relations at 1-800-622-3231.

Applying via Paper
To register for the PCAT, you must complete an application and submit it together with the fee payment so that they are received at Harcourt Assessment by the appropriate application deadline. See Fees & Special Services for complete information on fees. See PCAT Deadlines for application receipt deadlines.

In order to take the PCAT, you must register prior to the deadline for the desired test date. You will not be allowed to take the PCAT as a "standby" candidate by showing up at a Test Center without being registered in advance.

If you submit a Paper Application and it is received after the Standard Application Deadline, you will not be registered, and the application deadline will not be extended.  If your Paper Application and fee payment are received after the deadline, you will receive a partial refund.

For more information about applying via paper, please refer to the Candidate Information Booklet.

Even if you apply via paper, you will receive an electronic confirmation notice with information about your Admission Ticket. This notice will be sent to the email address that you provide when you register with the web site.

If you do not currently have an email address, you may obtain one using any of the free Internet email services.  We will communicate important information to you via email.  It is important that you have a valid email address that you can access.  Harcourt Assessment, Inc. is not reponsible for invalid email addresses or email that you did not receive.
